At AKD, because we believe strongly in patient service and in providing the best possible experience for your child, we have instituted the following policies and protocols
The dental clinic reception is open on Mondays at 9:30 a.m and Tuesday through to Friday at 8 a.m. Treatment time with the doctor or the hygienist is reserved at the reception desk.
The time that is reserved is held for your child only. If you are unable to attend your reserved time, kindly inform us at least 2 business days prior to your reservation. This will enable us to offer this time to other children in need of urgent care.
Where notice is not given in advance, there will be a charge for the lost time in the treatment room.
In order to maintain optimal dental health for your child, it is very important that time is reserved as requested by one of our team members, and is attended as scheduled. We make every effort to see patients in a timely manner.
We keep aside time for emergency care every day. This time is released to children only after 8:00am each day.
If your child has a dental emergency please call us at 8am. (905)726 8213 so that we can reserve him/her during our daily emergency time.
Small children, children that require sedation and children with special needs cooperate best in the morning when they are fresh and rested.
Any tooth extractions are scheduled during morning hours only. This allows numbness to wear off, and bleeding or pain to stop well before a child’s bed-time at night.
Payment for professional services is due at the time dental treatment is provided. For the convenience of our patients, we accept cash, debit, MasterCard or Visa.
